Date:2009-6-28    PageView:281

June 26th is scheduled for the discussion on nominations of properties to the World Heritage List. There are 27 new nominations up for inscription. Till now, the committee inscribed Italy's Dolomites mountains, the Philippines' Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park as an extension to the Tubbataha Reef Marine Park inscribed on the World Heritage List in 1993, the Wadden Sea, compriseing the Dutch Wadden Sea Conservation Area and the German Wadden Sea National Parks of Lower Saxony and Schleswig-Holstein, and Cape Verde's Cidade Velha. The China’s sacred Buddhist Mount Wutai is also inscribed based on criteria (ii)(iii)(iv)(vi), and the committee suggests to preserve Mount Wutai as cultural landscape.
