Theme and Host City Set for the 2011 National Cultural Heritage Day |

The theme of “Cultural Heritage and A Better Life” is finally decided upon the 6th National Cultural Heritage Day held June. 11th this year. The city of Jining stands out in the screening tests and becomes the host city of this year, with the theme “Cultural Heritage Inheritance and City Charm of Jining”. In December 2005, the State Council, as an effort to promote cultural progress, designated the second Saturday in June as annual national Cultural Heritage Day, in a bid to promote public awareness of the nation's cultural heritage protection efforts, and motivate public participation and concern into the conservation activities. In 2009, the State Administration of Cultural Heritage formulated a scheme of host city activities, which will be selected from candidate cities nationwide every year.
