Introduction:

The course is an intensive program that combines theoretical and practical sessions, as well as participation in the restoration projects underway at the Kizhi museum.
There will also be visits to the most interesting wooden architectural monuments in Karelia. The participants will have a unique chance to learn the secrets of conservation
of wooden monuments and to see how the restores of Kizhi museum give the new lease of life to the Church of the Transfiguration and other wooden architecture monuments
using the ancient craftsmanship and the latest technologies. The course will include both theoretical and practical training held by the most experienced craftsmen in wooden
architecture conservation and restoration.
