On the morning of January 7, 2020, Mr Wang Jin, the director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Hangzhou Municipal Government and his team visited WHITRAP Shanghai. The purpose of the visit was to investigate and discuss the possibility of cooperating with WHITRAP(Shanghai) to develop cultural heritage conservation and reuse programmes. Dr. LI Xin, Secretary-General of WHITRAP, and Lu Wei, Executive Deputy Director of WHITRAP, attended the meeting.
Hangzhou currently has three World Heritage sites, tied with Luoyang for the second largest number of domestic urban heritage. Dr Li Xin and Mrs Lu Wei put forward positive suggestions for carrying out projects in the field of cultural heritage protection with Hangzhou, especially in terms of assumption on heritage preservation and scientific and technological innovation. |
