Projects related to "Sustainable Management of Heritage" are eligible for submission under the theme "Environment and Resilience." Examples include: Conservation and Management of Cultural and Natural Resources Clarifying the relationship between cultural and natural heritage and the living environment Implementing and effectively enforcing Protection Regulations for World Cultural Heritage Emphasizing the protection of cultural and natural resources to enhance environmental sustainability Establishment and application of the China's World Cultural Heritage Monitoring Platform Enhance Preparedness for Effective Response: Reduce Disaster Risks and Adaptation in the Face of Climate Change Mastering the "Disaster Risk Management" tools Localizing , expanding and implementing the "Disaster Risk Management" tools Sustainable Management of Urban Heritage: Shache Historical City, Xinjiang Province, China Interaction between Public Space and Community Culture in Heritage Sites Planning spatial patterns, cultural heritage sites, traditional dwellings, and intangible cultural heritage using a "people-centered" approach to heritage conservation Fostering communicaion among different stakeholders Releasing more public spaces, promoting local employment Creating sustainable local environments UNESCO World Heritage and Sustainable Tourism Chinese Pilot Studies Mastering the "World Heritage and Sustainable Tourism Toolkit" tools Localizing , expanding and implementing the tools Conducting sustainable tourism activities such as cultural tourism and ecotourism based on the protection of cultural and natural resources Incorporating policies and measures for sustainable tourism into heritage site development plans, mechanisms, and strategies Data-Driven Storytelling of Vernacular Dwellings on the Silk Road (at 30min) Constructing buildings that are natural, with historical roots, and incorporate local traditional craftsmanship helps mitigate climate-related disaster risks Supporting resilience and enhancing community adaptability And so on… 2.Can one project meet multiple themes and be submitted multiple times? Yes, a project may meet multiple themes and can be submitted multiple times over several years.
The content should highlight its relevance to the theme of the current year. 3.What is required to become the hosting heritage site for the annual meeting? WHITRAP will collaborate with the hosting heritage site to plan the content of the HeritAP Annual Meeting , showcasing exemplary cases to domestic and international experts. 4.Besides the application form, can additional project materials be provided? Yes, if applicable, please provide additional project materials in English. As the projects will be presented in English to the evaluation committee, WHITRAP does not translate additional materials. |
