Tongji University, Tongji University Press and Springer Nature Group have signed the co-publishing agreement

Sep 12 afternoon,Tongji University, Tongji University Press and Springer Nature Group have signed the co-publishing agreement for the journal Built Heritage. According to the agreement, Built Heritage will be published in the form of open access on the Springer Open online platform.


The signing ceremony was held at the College of Architecture and Urban Planning of Tongji University. The Vice President of Tongji University, Jiang Bo, the President of Tongji University Press Hua Chunrong and the Managing Director of Springer Nature Group Greater China Region Mr. Arnout Jacobs, signed the agreement on the behalf of the sponsor, publisher and co-publisher. The Journal Publishing Director Ms. Joyce Li, Book Publishing Director Ms. Leana Li, the Manager of the Humanities and Social Science journals Ms. Susie Han, and the Associate Editor of the Humanities and Social Science books Ms. Lydia Wang from Springer Nature have attended the signing ceremony. 


The attendees from Tongji University included the Vice Director of the Office of Research Administration Professor Xiong Lan, the Secretary of the Party Committee of College of Architecture and Urban Planning Professor Peng Zhenwei, the Deputy Dean of College of Architecture and Urban Planning Professor Li Xiangning, the Editor-in-Chief of Built Heritage Professor Chang Qing, the Co-Editor-in-Chief of Built Heritage Professor Zhou Jian, and the editorial team of Built Heritage: Director of the Editorial Office Mr. Zhu Donghai, Executive Editor of Built Heritage Associate Professor Plácido González, Executive Editor of Built Heritage Associate Professor Li Yingchun, and Assistant Editors Mr. Huang Feiran and Mr. Yang Dong.


Administrated by the Ministry of Education, sponsored by Tongji University and published by Tongji University Press, Built Heritage is the first journal in China published in English focusing on the heritage study, conservation and revitalization of the built environment. Since its inaugural issue in March 2017, Built Heritage has pursued excellent academic quality with the highest editorial standards, earning unanimous praise from experts and scholars in the field, both domestically and internationally. The successful agreement with Springer Nature is another milestone leap for the journal Built Heritage, after being indexed as core journal of the China Science Citation Database (2019–2020).
