Established in 2022, the "Global World Heritage Education Innovation Award" is one of the most influential awards in world heritage education and innovation (Call for Application | 2025 AWHEIC). It is a global, interactive and communication platform promoting innovation in heritage education. It advocates and promotes a new model of science and innovation in heritage education for the future, collecting, organizing and spreading global cases of heritage education innovation. It also explores the value of heritage by science, technology and creativity, preparing for the next 50 years of the World Heritage Convention.

AWHEIC is committed to promoting innovation in world heritage education models through the sharing and dissemination of knowledge and experience worldwide and has accumulated hundreds of innovative cases to form a powerful and unique resource base. In order to better promote the dissemination and sharing of information, an annual report on the evolution of AWHEIC will be produced from 2022 onwards, which will systematically and comprehensively present the annual award-winning cases with illustrations and text, as well as preliminary research and summaries.
