Date: December 17-18, 2025 Location: Nara, Japan
The academic conference titled "Protection and Interpretation of Archaeological Sites and their Authenticity: Approaches to 'Reconstruction' Based on Diverse Asian Practices and Concepts" is scheduled to be convened in Nara, Japan, from December 17 to 18, 2025. The conference is organized by the Agency for Cultural Affairs, Government of Japan (Bunka-cho) and the Cultural Heritage Protection Cooperation Office, Asia-Pacific Cultural Centre for UNESCO (ACCU Nara).
Registration Information
Advance registration is mandatory for all interested participants.
Simultaneous interpretation (Japanese-English) will be provided for international attendees during the conference.
On-site Participation
Seating in Conference Room 202 is strictly limited to 20 participants per day.
Those planning to attend in person in Nara are strongly advised to register online at their earliest convenience. The registration portal will close immediately once the capacity limit is reached.
