On Oct. 12th 2007, a Cultural Heritage Management Plan Salon was organized by WHITR-AP (Shanghai). The participants were not only the teachers from College of Architecture & Urban Planning, but also many students from various faculties. The salon was focused on two parts; the first part was conducted by Ms. Kong Ping, Unit Director of WHITR-AP, Shanghai. Based on her experiences brought from UNESCO and ICCROM, etc, she introduced the definition, imminence, procedures as well as the basic contents with regard to the World Heritage management plan. Part two: Vice Prof. Shao Yong took PingYao Old City as a typical Chinese example to analyze the current situation and predicaments in its management. She also emphasized the significance of the management plan. |
