On 15 November 2007, Prof. Wu Zhiqiang, Acting Director of WHITR-AP (Shanghai) along with his colleagues met with Mr. Klaus Topfer, Former Executive Director of UNEP. Prof. Wu introduced the basic conditions of WHITR-AP (Shanghai). After the Opening Ceremony on May 2007, WHITR-AP (Shanghai) has set up close relations with famous institutes for World Heritage Conservation and is getting ready for making a great contribution to the whole Asian Pacific Region.
Having heard Prof Wu's introduction, Mr. Klaus Topfer wrote down some words with full enthusiasm:'Congratulations! A great contribution to the history of China around the whole Asian Pacific Region, lots of successes.' |
