![]() UNITAR-Photo in front of the A-Bomb Dome From 30th March to 4th April, Ms. KONG Ping on behalf of WHITR-AP was invited to observe the training program on Management and Conservation of World Heritage Sites: Conservation for Peace, organized by United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), Hiroshima Office. The workshop is designed specifically to the peace theme through implementations of cultural and natural heritage conservation in a 'values-based approach'. 60 participants, resource persons and staff, representing 32 countries from Asia, Europe and North America have been working together through a whole week to learn, to discuss and to debate on conservation issues in Hiroshima and their home countries. This workshop enhances communication and sharing exchange among the participants from different backgrounds and highlighted the contributions of conservation to peace and harmony of the world. |
