| On Apr 11th, 2008, Prof. Wu Zhiqiang and delegations of WHITR-AP visited ICCROM in Rome, and received warm welcome from Mr. Bouchenaki, Mr. King, Mr. Gamini, and Ms. Cathrina from various departments of ICCROM. Through visiting and Directors' detailed introduction, the delegations had a profound understanding and learning of its organization and training activities, while at the same time, reached an initial agreement with ICCROM on the organization and cooperative development of WHITR-AP. Furthermore, considering that WHITR-AP (Shanghai) and ICCROM has signed up a Memorandum of Understanding lasting for 2 years from May, 2007, Prof. Wu Zhiqiang and Ms. Kong Ping discussed the details about course design, professional resources, and organization of 'Management Planning for Cultural Heritage' co-organized by WHITR-AP and ICCROM, and reached an agreement. 'Management Planning for Cultural Heritage' is WHITR-AP's first international course in Asia and Pacific region, which is sure to have important meaning to the future cooperative training and research. |
