| MOU on 2011 International Conference Signed between ACCU Nara and WHITRAP Shanghai |

| August 25, 2011, Mr. NISHIMURA Yasushi, Director of the Asia-Pacific Cultural Centre for UNESCO (ACCU Nara), accompanied with other three colleagues had a meeting with Prof. ZHOU Jian, Director of WHITRAP Shanghai and Prof. DAI Shibing, Director of the Laboratory on Conservation Technology of Historic Buildings. During the meeting, an Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on 2011 “Human Resources Development for the Transmission of Traditional Skills: National Approaches and their Application to Stone and Brick”was signed between ACCU Nara and WHITRAP Shanghai, based on the discussion about arrangements in detail. Meanwhile, ACCU Nara and WHITRAP Shanghai created a collaborative opportunity for the Japanese National Institutes for Cultural Heritage (NICH) and Tongji University. The two sides planed to sign a MOU. Based on that, the NICH would send experts regularly to get involved in the establishment of Laboratory on Conservation Technology of Historic Buildings in Tongji University.
