On Feb.7th, 2012, professors of University of Kokushikan, Mr. Masaaki SAWADA (Honorary Director of the Cultural Heritage Conservation Committee in East Asia) and Mr. Tadateru NISHIURA (Director of Japan Branch of the Committee) visited WHITRAP Shanghai. Professor ZHOU Jian, Director of WHITRAP Shanghai, Dr. DU Xiaofan, Cultural Heritage Conservation Specialist of UNESCO Beijing Office, and Professor DAI Shibing, Director of Architectural Conservation Laboratory of Tongji University jointly received them. The two sides mainly exchanged views about the construction of the State Key Laboratory of Timberwork Research and reached a consensus on cooperation. The Laboratory will sign a Cooperation Framework Agreement with the Committee and establish the Committee of Historic Buildings and Sites Conservation in East Asia afterwards. |
