From January 24 to 25 2012, International Workshop on World Heritage Economic and Policy Issues was held in Torino, Italy. It is organized by Silvia Santagata Research Centre (CSS-EBLA) and International Research Centre on the Economics of Culture and World Heritage Studies (Torino Centre). The workshop aroused an extensive discussion on the relationship between economics and world heritage, both in pros and cons. A wide range of presenters were invited, including site-managers, economists, officials and professors. Representatives from Category 2 Centers related to World Heritage also participated in the workshop and communicated with lecturers in practical experiences and suggestion.
