| On April 6th, the Seminar of Creative Cities Network (China) was held in Beijing. The meeting was chaired by DU Yue, the general secretary of UNESCO Beijing Committee. Relevant experts and representatives from the members of UNESCO Creative Cities Network, i.e. Shanghai, Shenzhen, Chengdu, as well as the declaring cities such as Hangzhou, Beijing, Qingdao, Dongyang, Shunde, about 30 people attended the meeting. The vice director of WHITRAP Shanghai, Dr. LI Xin attended the meeting as an expert. Mr. Alain Godonou, director of Division of Thematic Programs for Diversity, Development and Dialogue, UNESCO, addressed the meeting. Mr. DU Yue introduced the situation regarding to the latest development of Creative Cities Network in the world and the facing situation in China. After the speeches, the meeting entered into the stage of free discussion. Through discussion, participants agreed that Chinese cities should formulate a unified development plan and contribute more to the development of Creative Cities Network. Dr. LI Xin was elected as the contact person of the domestic creative cities network.
