| MoU signed by WHITRAP,CNR and XMU-SACE to protect heritage |

WHIRTAP, Xiamen University and WHITRAP’s longstanding partner the Italian National Research Council (CNR) Department of Human and Social Sciences, Cultural Heritage (DSU) signed an MOU to establish a strategic cooperation for training, capacity building activities, and research regarding the “Cultural Heritage Conservation and Enhancement of urban and rural settlements along the Maritime Silk Road”. Within this framework a first series of activities will focus on Fujian Tulou inscribed on the World Heritage List. A first workshop and field work is scheduled in September in Fujian Tulou to develop a conservation strategy for the components inscribed and their setting as well as other Tulou not inscribed on the List. |
